Field trip by Moroccan partners to Germany

Field trip to Stuttgart, Frankfurt a.M., Hohenheim and Berlin. Examples of Urban Agriculture, financing and marketing. The Moroccan partners joined different work processes of the German partners and supported sectoral co-operation. The stay was sponsored by the Goethe Institute.

Meeting with all Moroccan and German UAC project partners. In addition to a standardised agenda the project workshop dealt with the planned integrated workshop series in Berlin (definition of urban agriculture, definition of climate-optimised urban development, urban models/ megacities, urban system, Model City Casablanca) and the forthcoming climate optimization process.
4th regional agricultural fair in Casablanca
13 - 17 July 2011
The 4th regional agricultural fair in Casablanca took place in Médiouna. The UAC project was was represented by an exhibition stand through the local UAC office. Project stand, presentation of the project to the Governor and officials of the province of Médiouna on the offi cial opening day and in the conference programme.

International Symposium "Urbanisation et politiques urbaines : les défis de la durabilité"

On the occasion of his 30th birthday, the INAU organized an International Symposium: "Urbanization and urban policies: the challenges of sustainability". The UAC project supported the event and was able to present itselve in this frame.

31 March 2011 - First impressions of the grant opening of the exhibition.
by Association of Greater Casablanca Carrières Centrales and the project coordinators of UAC in presence of representatives of the German Embassy and German Ministry of Education and Research. Introduction to the exhibition by members of Toronto Ryerson University (Canada) and Berlin Institute of Technology (TU Berlin).

VISION VERTE presented observations and results of the UAC-project.The event also shows parts of the touring exhibition “Carrot City“ from Canada, with international examples of how to transform the urban fabric for urban agriculture.
