Future Research Workshop
26. - 28. November 2008
The purpose of the Future Workshop was to create a common vision for the role of Urban Agriculture as an integrative factor of climate-optimised urban development in Casablanca. The participants consisted of the representatives of the Moroccan and German project teams; delegates from the local and regional government of Casablanca; and representatives and international experts on megacities, Urban Agriculture and climate change. The international experts were invited to give lectures on different issues concerning megacity development and Urban Agriculture.
Student Workshop

Parallel to the Future Research Workshop, the interdisciplinary and intercultural student workshop took place at the University Ain Chock to design future visions for ‘Casablanca 2025’ with students from Moroccan and German universities. The workshop was conducted by A. Fenk and C. Kasper.

The UN-HABITAT seminar ‘Cities Promoting Climate Protection – Research Partnerships’, organised by the project agency DLR and BMBF, presented l the project-work on action-research within the Future Megacity Programme.
