Die Produktive Stadt / Carrot City - Designing for Urban Agriculture

After the touring exhibition has been shown in Toronto, New York and Montreal, it can finally be visited in Berlin. Under the title "The Productive City" the exhibition shows design suggestions for urban agriculture.

The exhibition focuses on the relationship between design and urban food systems. It explores the question of the influence of agricultural issues on the development of urban spaces and buildings.

The exhibition is open from 30/09 – 30/10/ 2011 and can be visited in the architectural museum of the TU Berlin.

Urbane Landwirtschaft als integrierter Faktor einer klimaoptimierten Stadtentwicklung, Casablanca / Marokko

Urbane Landwirtschaft Casablanca ist ein deutsch-marokkanisches Forschungsprojekt des Bundesministeriums für Bildung und Forschung (BMBF) im Rahmen des Megacity-Forschungsprogramms "Forschung für die nachhaltige Entwicklung der Megastädte von morgen, Fokus: Energie- und klimaeffiziente Strukturen in urbanen Wachstumszentren".

Basierend auf den Ergebnissen der einleitenden Projektphase (07/2005 – 03/2008) ist Urbane Landwirtschaft Casablanca als ein Forschungs- und Entwicklungsprojekt mit einer Hauptprojektphase von fünf Jahren angelegt (04/2008 – 03/2013).

Unter Urbane Landwirtschaft wird jegliche Form formeller wie informeller landwirtschaftlicher Produktion innerhalb der Stadt verstanden, wobei bezogen auf die urbanen Wachstumskerne "Stadt" mit Stadtregion gleichgesetzt wird.
